The Queen Victoria 'godless'
and 'gothic' UK florin obverses
feature the crowned head of
young Victoria facing left, hair
plaited around her ear.
The legend and date are in
standard format for the
'godless' florin (1849).
The legends are in a gothic type-face for the 'gothic' florin,
and the date is shown in Roman numerals. (1852 onwards).
The reverses show four crowned shields in cruciform,
each with coats of arms representing UK union members:
(England, Scotland, Ireland).
The legend reads 'One florin' and 'one tenth of a pound'.
