The 1849 United Kingdom florin reverse shows
four crowned shields in cruciform, with a rose
in the center, and floral emblems in diagonals.
Three lions and the roses represent England,
a single lion and the thistle represent Scotland,
and the harp and shamrock represent Ireland.
The surrounding legend reads: 'ONE FLORIN'
above, and 'ONE TENTH OF A POUND' below.

The obverse features the crowned head of
young Victoria facing left, with hair in a plait
around her ear. The legend reads:
'VICTORIA REGINA', and the date.
