the older veiled bust of
Victoria facing left, adorned
in jewellery.
The reverse shows the helmed Britannia seated
facing right, holding a trident, hand resting on a
shield, with the date below, and 'HALF' in the
left field, 'PENNY' to the right.
Victoria married Albert in 1840. The pair had nine children,
who went on to marry in to royalty across Europe.
