was minted in 1911, and
the last in 1936.
The King George V era United Kingdom halfcrown
obverse features the bare head of George V, facing left.
From 1911 to 1927, the reverse shows a crowned
shield with coat of arms encircled in a garter.
(shield and garter reverse).
From 1928 onwards the reverse shows
a shield with coat of arms, with royal
crowns and monogram to either side.
(shield reverse).
30 pennies = 2 shillings and sixpence
= 1 halfcrown = 1/8 of a pound
Silver content debased from 92.5% to
50% in 1920.
