The New Zealand florin obverse features the United

Kingdom monarch of the time.

The reverse design shows a foraging kiwi facing left, with the

ground line behind. 'NEW ZEALAND' is above the main design,

with 'ONE FLORIN' and the date below.

Prior to 1933 United Kingdom currency

was the official legal tender of New Zealand,

although Australian coins and notes were

also generally accepted.
