The 1890 UK double florin obverse features

the robed jubilee bust of the mature Queen

Victoria, facing left, adorned with jewellery,

veil, and a small crown. The surrounding

legend reads 'VICTORIA DEI GRATIA'


The reverse shows four crowned shields in cruciform,

each with coats of arms representing UK union members:

(England, Scotland, Ireland).  Four sceptres are between

the shields in the diagonals.

The legend reads 'BRITT: REG:' to the left, date at the

top, then 'FID: DEF:' to the right.
