The 1844 UK half farthing obverse features the
head of young Queen Victoria facing left, ribbons
in her hair (young head). The legend reads:
'VICTORIA D:G: BRITANNIAR: REGINA F:D:'
The reverse shows the words 'HALF FARTHING',
with the royal crown above and the date below.
Underneath the date is a design combining a rose,
thistle, and shamrock.
