The 1828 UK half farthing obverse features the
laureate bust of King George IV facing left, with
the date below. The legend reads:
'GEORGIUS IV', and 'DEI GRATIA'
The reverse shows the helmed Britannia seated
facing right, holding a trident, hand resting on a
shield. In the exergue is a rose, thistle, and
shamrock. The surrounding legend reads:
'BRITANNIAR: REX FID: DEF:'
