The 1819 United Kingdom crown obverse features the

laureate head of King George III facing right, with the

surrounding legend: 'GEORGIUS III D: G: BRITANNIARUM

REX F: D:', with 'PISTRUCCI' underneath, and date below.


The reverse depicts St George, the patron saint of England,

on horseback, slaying the dragon. Below the groundline is

'PISTRUCCI'. The design is surrounded by a garter, with the

motto of the chivalric 'Order of the Garter' inside:

'HONI - SOIT - QUI - MAL - Y - PENSE.'.


The regnal year of George's reign is in the raised edge

lettering: 'DECUS ET TUTAMEN. ANNO REGNI LIX.'
