The first Australian florin
was minted in 1910.
The florin ran until 1963,
the year before Australia
stopped minting pre-decimal
coins in preparation
for decimilisation in 1966.
The Australian florin obverse features the UK monarch of
the time. The 'Coat of Arms' reverse was used throughout
the series, although the design was modernized in 1938.
Commemorative reverse designs were also minted in 1927,
1934-5, 1951, and 1954.

1910 was United Kingdom currency.
