The Queen Elizabeth II era United Kingdom halfcrown
obverse features the laureate head of young Elizabeth II
facing right, with a surrounding legend describing titles.
The reverse shows a crowned shield with coat of arms
of England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. 'E' is left of
the shield and 'R' to the right. The date is in the legend.
Elizabeth II presided over much change and
development in the western world in the longest
reign by any English monarch, at over 70 years.
Elizabeth II passed away in September 2022,
succeeded by her eldest son, King Charles III.
