The King George VI era New Zealand sixpence obverse
features the bare head of George VI, facing left.
The reverse design shows a huia bird, (now extinct),
perched on a branch.
The words 'NEW ZEALAND' are above the main design,
with 'SIXPENCE' and the date below.
